We were delighted to gather for discussion and reflection during the Final Showcase of Studio Viganò at EPFL.
Student presentations were complemented by an exhibition of their work, bringing individual explorations into a shared ground for imagining a collective vision for Rome. Together, the projects tackled key themes shaping urban futures: vacancy, urban agriculture, rewilding, connectivity, mobility, urban regeneration, and heritage.
Rather than proposing fixed blueprints, the work framed preparation as a way to activate socio-ecological transitions in the present—through mapping, critical inquiry, and design inquiery.
We were pleased to be joined by Kristiaan Borret, previous Bouwmeester Maitre Architecte of the Brussels Capital Region, and our colleagues from Zurich whose presence and insights enriched the conversation and exchange.
Thank you to all the students, guests, and colleagues for their thoughtful contributions, energy, and time.
