Cartography is a foundational tool in urban design. Situated at the threshold between writing and reading, this course integrates qualitative and quantitative cartographic methods, combining field-based data collection with GIS tools and digital mapping techniques. Through critical analysis and hands-on exercises, students explore how maps both construct and interpret urban narratives, inform design decisions, and reveal social, environmental, and ecological challenges.
